“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” – Buddha
Jessica Ortiz brings a deeply personal and empathetic approach to therapy, focusing on young adults, young married couples, and those preparing for marriage. As a first-generation Mexican-American and biracial woman, Jessica has a unique understanding of navigating two cultures and finding balance in both. Her lived experiences provide her with a deep sensitivity to her clients’ diverse backgrounds, helping her create an inclusive, understanding environment.
Jessica’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a person-centered approach. She believes in allowing clients to lead the conversation, creating space for them to share their experiences in their own way. Jessica is particularly passionate about working with young adults who are dedicated to building better lives for themselves.
One of Jessica’s proudest moments as a therapist was working with a hesitant male client who, over the course of three months, became fully engaged in the process, reaching his therapeutic goals. This experience underscores Jessica's ability to gently guide clients through their healing journey, no matter where they start.
Jessica’s practice is deeply relational and holistic, as she carefully tunes into her clients' body language, facial expressions, and unspoken resistance. She is not afraid of silence or vulnerability, allowing clients to fully process their thoughts and emotions. Her calm, laid-back demeanor creates a comfortable space where clients feel safe to bring their full, authentic selves into therapy.
Outside of her work, Jessica enjoys relaxing hobbies such as crocheting, decorating for each season, and traveling—especially to the Texas Hill Country or on a cruise. She is committed to building genuine, long-lasting relationships with her clients, helping them overcome life’s challenges and thrive in their personal growth.
Jessica recently earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is passionate about continuing her journey of helping others create meaningful change in their lives.
