I believe counseling should, and will be, for all.
Jordan (TX # 91161) specializes in stress management, development of coping skills, or overarching family conflict.
Coming from a competitive gymnastics background, Jordan knows how to spot healthy and unhealthy life stressors. She works with those young who are just learning about stress to those that, well... know a thing or two about what life can throw at you.
Jordan is a person-centered therapist, hoping to provide a warm and collaborative environment for adolescents, teens, couples, and adult individuals of all backgrounds. Jordan also has extensive knowledge in counseling for working with military families and spouses, depression help, anxiety and much more. She emphasizes the importance of feeling safe, heard, and understood while working together to untangle the parts of our life that may need deeper attention.
My journey in the field of therapy began with a personal interest in understanding the complexities of human emotions and relationships. From a young age, I was fascinated by the way individuals navigate through challenging situations and find their inner strength. This curiosity led me to pursue a career in counseling.
I completed my education and training at Columbus State University, where I gained a solid foundation in psychological principles and therapeutic techniques. Throughout my studies, I realized that my true passion lay in helping military families and spouses overcome unique challenges and build resilient relationships.
My professional experience has been predominantly focused on working with military families. I have witnessed firsthand the immense strength and resilience that these families possess, as well as the specific stressors and conflicts they face. It is my mission to provide them with the support and guidance they need to navigate these challenges successfully.
One area where I specialize is stress management and developing coping skills. I understand the immense pressure that military families often experience due to frequent deployments, relocations, and the demands of military life. Through evidence-based techniques and personalized strategies, I empower my clients to not only manage stress effectively but also cultivate resilience and find balance in their lives.
When it comes to family conflict resolution, I believe in a compassionate and collaborative approach. I work closely with each member of the family to understand their unique perspectives and goals, fostering open communication and understanding. Together, we explore healthy ways to resolve conflicts and build stronger connections within the family unit.
What sets me apart as a therapist is not only my expertise in military family therapy but also my personal touch and relatability. Being in a military family myself, I understand the dynamics and challenges that military families face on a personal level. This enables me to establish a strong rapport with my clients and provide them with a safe and empathetic environment where they can share their experiences.
Looking to the future, I am filled with hope and optimism. I believe that every individual and family has the potential to overcome obstacles and thrive. My goal is to guide and support my clients as they develop the necessary tools and skills to lead fulfilling lives.
If you are a military family or spouse in need of support, I invite you to reach out to me. Together, we can embark on a journey of growth, healing, and resilience.
