Michelle’s inspiration to become a therapist stemmed from a deep desire to help others. She specializes in working with clients who are committed to self-improvement and honesty, guiding them toward meaningful change. Her therapeutic philosophy is rooted in authenticity, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to her clients’ well-being. She employs a range of evidence-based approaches, including Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Michelle has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges such as trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. She has a particular passion for working with individuals struggling with disordered eating, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and emotional overeating. Michelle takes a compassionate and individualized approach, helping clients navigate the complex relationship between food, body image, and emotional well-being. She works collaboratively to challenge harmful thought patterns, build self-compassion, and develop healthier coping mechanisms to support long-term recovery and self-acceptance.
Her approach to therapy ensures that clients feel safe, validated, and supported. She prioritizes active listening, open body language, and reflective communication to create an environment where clients can express themselves without fear of judgment. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship, built on trust and rapport, is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing.
Outside of her work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and pets, exploring the outdoors, reading, and watching movies. She values balance in life and encourages her clients to cultivate hobbies and interests that bring them joy and fulfillment.
Michelle considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients on their journey to self-discovery and healing, guiding them to build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection with themselves.
