One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and you didn’t fall apart. — Linda Poindexter

From a young age, Jennifer Colon knew that she wanted to pursue a career dedicated to helping others. Often seen as a peacemaker among her peers, Jennifer naturally drew people to share their challenges with her. Today, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Peace by Piece Counseling, Jennifer channels that lifelong passion into supporting the mental health and well-being of her clients. She firmly believes in the importance of mental health for overall wellness and the mind-body connection.

Jennifer specializes in treating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, postpartum challenges, fertility, parenting, co-parenting, divorce, separation, grief/loss, and family dynamics. Her humanistic, person-centered approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that every individual has the potential for growth and self-discovery. She works with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking meaningful change, offering them a safe and non-judgmental space to explore their thoughts, patterns, and emotions.

With personal life experiences as a married mother of two, Jennifer brings empathy and relatability to her work. She has personally experienced both individual and couples counseling, which has given her valuable insights into the transformative power of therapy. Her goal is to make clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve their personal goals. Jennifer prioritizes meeting clients where they are and creating a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect, honesty, and open communication.

In sessions with Jennifer, clients can expect a collaborative journey that focuses on finding solutions to roadblocks, exploring new perspectives, and learning tools to cope with life’s challenges. She understands that all positive changes, whether big or small, are meaningful steps toward growth. When she’s not working with clients, Jennifer enjoys reading, sports, traveling, and spending quality time with her children, friends, and two dogs.

Jennifer is passionate about helping clients navigate their unique paths and believes that the first step toward positive change is choosing to go to therapy. She looks forward to the opportunity to work with you, offering a compassionate, supportive environment where you can achieve your goals and find greater well-being.
