What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation." – Glenn Close
I’ve always been drawn to helping others and originally pursued a teaching degree before realizing my true passion lay in counseling. Even without personal experience in therapy, something told me this was the path I needed to take. My greatest joy comes from seeing clients grow in their self-esteem and confidence. Hearing someone stand up for themselves or recognizing that their voice matters means the world to me.
In my practice, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches, but I understand that every person’s story is unique. I tailor my approach to fit the client’s specific needs, always striving to create a safe, non-judgmental space where feelings and experiences can be processed openly.
I especially enjoy working with middle and high schoolers. Being a younger therapist myself, I believe I offer a relatable and approachable presence, making it easier for them to engage in the therapy process. Whether it’s helping a student feel comfortable speaking in front of a class or guiding a family through a difficult moment, I am committed to supporting my clients in becoming the best versions of themselves.
My background includes experience in an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) clinic, where I developed skills in maintaining neutrality even in emotionally charged situations. I prioritize building strong rapport with my clients and establish clear boundaries by discussing consent and confidentiality from the very beginning.
Outside of work, I love thrift shopping, reading, spending time with friends, traveling, baking, and enjoying board games and escape rooms. I’m passionate about helping clients with social anxiety and improving communication between children and their parents.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelor of Behavioral Sciences from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel they can trust me with anything, no matter how big or small it may seem.
